Career & Life Transition

Life does not always change in the way we expect it to. A new job, career change, relationship, breakup, move, change in circumstances or simply reaching a point where life no longer feels quite right can leave you questioning what comes next.

Even positive changes can bring uncertainty. You may find yourself wondering who you are now, what you actually want, or whether you are making the right decisions. Sometimes the hardest part is knowing that something needs to change without knowing exactly what that change should be.

When you're going through a transition

Life transitions can look different for everyone, but you may notice that:

  • You feel unsettled or uncertain, even about changes you chose

  • You're questioning who you are now, or who you thought you'd be by this point

  • You feel pressure to have a clear plan before you've had time to process what's happened

  • Decisions that used to feel straightforward now feel harder to make

  • You're comparing your life or progress to other people's

  • You feel disconnected from routines, relationships or a version of yourself that used to feel familiar

  • Other people assume you're managing well, while you feel far less certain underneath

  • You're aware something needs to change, but not exactly what

Therapy can provide a space to slow things down and explore what is happening beneath the uncertainty. Lora can help you make sense of the thoughts, feelings and pressures that can come with change, while giving you the space to consider what feels right for you.

Transitions can also bring changes to confidence, identity and relationships. You may feel that you have lost a sense of direction, are putting pressure on yourself to have everything figured out, or are struggling to adjust to a version of life you didn't expect.

Lora works collaboratively, helping you explore where you are now, what may be keeping you feeling stuck and what you might want moving forward. The aim isn't to tell you what decision to make, but to help you understand yourself clearly enough to make decisions that feel more aligned with you.
